The LINE PATROLMAN is a patented quality control instrument used for accurate induction sealer setting, process monitoring and fault diagnosis. Use it to:
  • Accurately set and re-set the induction sealer
  • Monitor production to ensure consistently good sealing
  • Warn if the sealer settings are not correct or it is faulty
  • Assist with fault finding if sealing problems do occur
  • Record readings for QA and traceability records
How does it work?

The LINE PATROLMAN is passed down the filling line conveyor and measures the electromagnetic energy received from the sealer.

Because it measures this energy from the position of the bottle cap it automatically takes into effect all variables that affect seal quality (power output of the sealer, conveyor speed (dwell time), height and angle of the sealing head, position under sealing head etc.).

This is much more effective and accurate than just using the controls on the induction sealer. These can only measure the output from the sealer and cannot include the effect of the distance of the sealing head from the bottle or the speed of the conveyor which critically affect the energy input into the cap foil liner.

Capsolutions' patented LINE PATROLMAN is the only product available that measures the heat energy going directly into the foil which is why so many top companies use it. These include:

Food and Beverage:Arla Foods, Coca Cola, Dairy Crest, Danone, Express Dairies, Frucor Beverages, Nestlé, SPC Ardmona, Trigon Snacks, Unilever
Pharmaceutical and Healthcare:Abbott Laboratories, Avon, Boots , Chemins, CIPLA, Eli Lilly, Forest Laboratories, GlaxoSmithKline, Gilead Sciences, Norwich Pharmaceuticals, Novartis, NSPR, Patheon, Penn Pharma, Sharp Corporation, Shire Pharmaceuticals
Chemical and Crop Science:Agropharm, Bayer CropScience, Crompton Europe, Eli Lilly, Exxon, Grotech, Monsanto, Nufarm, Sandoz, Sipcam Inagra

LINE PATROLMAN can also be used for process and equipment validation and can assist in finding the cause of problems if sealing problems do occur. It is now available in two versions, the original LINE PATROLMAN and the new SEAL MASTER version with many additional features.

The LINE PATROLMAN original

The original LINE PATROLMAN was launched in 2003 and is used by many leading companies.

It is mounted between two bottles and passed down the filling line under the induction sealer as is the SEAL MASTER. It measures and displays the induction energy received by the cap. This information is then recorded manually.

The new LINE PATROLMAN SEAL MASTER

SEAL MASTER is even easier to use than the original LINE PATROLMAN and gives more data due to its increased processing power. It is ideal for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries where rigorous quality procedures apply.

It comprises two parts; a sensor mounted inside the bottle and a hand held display unit. Data is transmitted wirelessly from the sensor to the new SEAL MASTER hand held unit for processing and display. This gives additional information and benefits and the SEAL MASTER hand held display:

  • records the operating settings required for a good seal
  • stores optimum sealing conditions for many bottles
  • warns if these optimum conditions are not being achieved
  • compares current and previous data for fault finding
  • stores data for QA and product traceability records
  • allows data download to a computer.
  • displays data in a way which is easily understood by operators

SEAL MASTER also calculates a recommended operating range within the full operating range.

This allows production to be monitored to a stricter level than is absolutely necessary giving an extra 'safety margin' against possible bad seals.
